It seems that her emotions help her opponents. Can she overcome them enough to defeat these really tough girls?

Her emotions perhaps help her opponents, but if there are no emotions, rude words and throughing rackets, it`s not Dina=) every step, every smile, even gestures makeDinara Safina`s playing style. I like her being herself.

Dinara already won few of those girls you refer lately!!! And she can overcome anything she wants to, because she has the tennis and talent for it!!! Beside if she didn't let her emotions play along she wouldn't be the same player!!! Like Russianlusia said, she wouldn't be herself!!!

She's already controlling her emotions better, but without them she wouldn't be herself anymore. I agree with everyone who likes Dinara because of her emotions. I mean, look at for example Venus, she's always calm and cool but how many people really like her? I don't. She seems to be arrogant. Dinara is real, I can totally understand her yelling, cursing, throwing the raquet, complaining... because I do it on court aswell. When I'm frustrated about an unforced error I start self-talking myself. Dinara is real, I like her when she's showing emotions, plus she had reached to be ranked number 2. I'm sure she'll be number one sooner or later WITH her emotions. I don't wanna watch a machine play tennis.

It seems that she already has made great strides to curtail her emotions on the court. The tricky thing will be to learn when to express or draw from such emotions in a way that gets her pumped up, but emotion can be a double edged sword. The wrong emotions at the wrong times can actually empower an opponent or give them extra confidence. If she continues to make improvements in her mental game and improve consistency on the forehand coupled with her improved fitness, her ascent to #1 should continue.

your serve , sucks ! i don't understand how a coach can sit there and watch it ! face the opponent more ( you are to far to the right ) and don't throw the ball so high ! you are a very lucky girl to have gotten so far in the aussie ! good luck in the future !

Pft wally, please. Are YOU a professional tennis player? Don't be telling a professional tennis player what she should be doing and what her coach should be doing. You don't get to Finals listening to what sour faced fans say criticising you
