we all know in here that we love Dinara Safina. we follow her in very tournaments and even in her race in her off court life. and most of all, we are always with her, praying for her, though there are ups and downs.
so the question is, what do you think is the quality or reason why you love Dina that made you a fan/supporter/friend?
i will be waiting for your answer people! ;D

Well it was last year at the french open when she made the final, she just seemed so warm and so friendly. She played so well that I became a fan, she plays so well and she is just great to watch on court, a fantastic player. It was the french open 2008 when I think people started to recognise her as a serious player not just Marats younger sister.

i strongly agree with you Rosie.
it was the beijing olympics when she also made it to the finals and win a silver medal. that is the start of me being a fan of her. i even recognize and started to love her more in the Australian Open 2009. i remember after her match with Jelena Dokic where all the crowd are with Jelena Dokic, she said sorry to the crowd because she beat Jelena. it was really nice of her! she has that unique personality and you can see in her that she's not lying and always confident and determined to whatever happen. she really is a great person on and off the court! that made me love her.
SHE IS REALLY UNIQUE AND INCREDIBLE! GO DINA! Be the best and God bless you! ;D

Oh yes, I remember her at the Australian open she was very nice and she deserved to win, my sister and I still think she could of won. As Sernea Williams won on a ball that we believe was truly in, when the umpire called it out!
I agree with you too Eliene, she does have a unique personality!

Pass this feedback to her - After watching Safina lost Roland Garros and the Australian Open Finals, I felt that Safina has not learnt from her mistake in executing the serve. This is the weakest link in her entire game of tennis - she should not throw the ball too high. Should make it low and swift in her serve. The higher her throw during serve, the more shaky she is in hitting it right. Need to learn from her brother Marat in this part of her game. I would like her to win against the mighty Williams sisters and she has to improve her serve going forward.

I think it is disgusting the way she allows her emotions to get involved in her play. For the #1 player in the world, she acts like an immature kid. She needs to take her play decisions upon her own shoulders and forget about her coach when she is on the playing court.

I personally though Dinara's serve had improved since the australian open!!! Safina was knocked out today after the 3rd round of the WTA Championship by France's Aravane Rezai and below were her explanations for her defeat and they have to do with her poor serve all over again. Still not changing and improving her serve.... the other observation is her bad temperament - banging and throwing her rackets on the floor. This kind of court behavior in public doesn't befit the number 1 woman player in the world - like the brother Safin...."Ball toss was a disaster," moaned the Russian. "I don't move my legs. I'm jumping backwards instead of jumping forwards. I'm kicking it too much instead of hitting it more. I drop my head. I don't hold the left arm. "I know this all, and I'm still so stupid that I'm continuing to do it." Safina, 23, surrendered her serve three times in the final set, slamming her racket to the ground after the last point of her first opening-match defeat since February. "It's my brain. I know exactly what I have to do, but if I'm not using my brain, I'm not doing the things my coach is telling me," Safina said.
