Safina posted a 6-1 6-0 victory over fellow Russian Nadia Petrova to advance to her seventh final of 2008. The 22-year-old has been one of the best players on the WTA since May, claiming three titles, but she had not beaten Petrova in five previous meetings. That run came to end at the $1.34 million event as Safina blasted seven aces, won 29-of-39 (74%) service points while forging seven break points, winning five. Petrova, who upset second seed Ana Ivanovic in the second round, never forced a break point. -------------------------------------- well done, Safina! please win the title tomorrow!

Live & Online: Tokyo Final on Sunday!
Sony Ericsson WTA tour
TOKYO, Japan - The latest final in the prestigious Tier I series takes place this Sunday in Tokyo, and depending on where you live you could see it live right here.
The championship match of the Toray Pan Pacific Open is the seventh live stream to be broadcast on sonyericssonwtatour.com, after recent live streams from Indian Wells, Miami, Charleston, Berlin, Rome and Montréal. The Tokyo final is scheduled to get underway on Sunday, September 21, at 1pm Tokyo time (check your local times to see when it is showing for you!)
Due to existing broadcast agreements, the live stream is not available in Europe, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. However, tennis fans in these regions need not fear as the final is due to be broadcast on Eurosport.com, Eurosport (Europe and Hong Kong), Fox Sports 2 (Australia) and Gaora (Japan).
